Petrified Wood Prong Mount, "The Grinch"

Set in a .999 fine silver custom mount handcrafted by Jim Rice. This striking piece features predominantly warm oranges and deep reds, with natural, swirling patterns that appear to depict the curmudgeonly protagonist of Dr. Suess' famed Christmas tale. This impressive fossil was cut and polished by Rick Marshall, the instructor of a week-long class Mr. Rice attended at the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts in July of 2026. The excellent coloring and humorous image in this piece earn it its place in our 30th Anniversary Collection. Each prong of this .999 fine silver setting has been carefully hand-filed to a delicate point, adding to the refined beauty of this one-of-a-kind pendant. In addition to the artist's initials and the .999FS quality mark, this setting has been stamped "3X" to designate that it belongs to our 30th Anniversary Collection. Finished dimensions: 77mm x 44mm.
