Kabamba Jasper Necklace with Faceted Beads

Lovingly handcrafted with .925 sterling silver by Cindy Rice. Despite its name, this remarkable material is not technically a jasper. Rather, it is a fossil stromatolite, which is a formation created by microorganisms similar to a combination of algae and sponges. When fossilized and then polished as they are in this black-and-green necklace, they reveal intriguing, curved patterns. The five large coin beads have been skillfully faceted, providing an eye-catching sparkle in the light. This necklace is 18in. long.
