K2 Jasper Pendant

Set in .925 sterling silver by Cindy Rice. Hailing from the second tallest mountain in the world (K2, located in the Karakoram Range in Pakistan), this beautiful stone showcases lovely sky-blue disc-like patterns against a predominantly off-white background. Despite its name, this material is not technically classified as a jasper; rather, it is a unique natural formation of azurite crystals in a granite matrix. This formation has only been found to occur in K2 jasper, and in all other documented circumstances, azurite crystals and granite do not naturally form together. The dainty size of this pendant makes it a unique addition to any collection without incorporating too much weight or overwhelming dimensions. 25mm x 13mm.
