Fossil Ammonite Prong Mount

Set in a .999 fine silver custom mount hand-forged by Jim Rice. This specimen is the fossil of an ammonite, an extinct sea creature that had a chambered shell. In this instance, the spiral of the shell is slightly covered by the gray-brown matrix that surrounds it, creating a unique, naturally occurring piece of abstract artwork. The pattern, though somewhat subtle, is very soothing and soft to the eye. Each prong in this setting has been carefully hand-filed to a delicate point, adding to the refined beauty of this one-of-a-kind pendant stamped with the artist's initials. 68mm x 44mm.
